Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c All-Purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 c granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (more to taste)
- 1 tsp almond extract (more to taste)
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350
- Whisk flour and salt; set aside
- Beat butter and sugar until smooth
- Ideally in a stand mixer with paddle attachment; medium-high for ~2 minutes
- Add egg, vanilla, and almond – beating continuously
- Slowly add flour and salt
- Use cookie press to make desired shapes
- For best results, decorate before baking
- Bake 6-9 minutes, remove promptly to wire rack for cooling
